waking up in the presence of arceus while floating around in a void certainly had rei believing he was in the midst of a nightmare and that didn't change for a good few months after being thrown out into the wilds of hisui trying to complete a pokédex for a man he had never met before. through troubles and tribulations, rei manages to understand what's been happening in hisui, what the mt coronet void was, and protect the people from frenzied pokémon and gods alike.RISE | 15
Next up on his list of agendas was obtaining all the plates, both for an overly exuberant merchant, and a pokémon who Rei's come to understand since is the god of everything. The road ahead was dangerous, mysterious, and he had little idea of what was waiting for him at the end of it while attempting to find the last plate. Through the trust of his pokémon and the feeling of a higher being on his side, Rei's able to pull through, but at what cost? With every attack done by the distortion deity something was taken away from him. Is this something he has to figure out now, too?

Stepping in, helping the professor obtain pokédex data, fighting pokémon that no one else would, and helping to reshape Jubilife Village into something better, he gets betrayed by the very man who had originally sent him out on these quests and banished from the village. His name, reputation, tarnished while the villagers he once helped shame his name. He's told to find out what's the cause of the RED SKY before the fullmoon rises and if he's able to, he'll be allowed to return. He does all this, and more, capturing the two deities at the summit and saving all of Hisui... but what happened leaves a bitter scar in his heart. They reinstate him but Rei denies it, and decides to return to the wildlands by himself. He still helps out with the Pokédex, still tries to find every pokémon, but refuses to be associated with the corps who threw him out without a care in the world.PASIO | 15

Emerald, unlike Brendan or May, follows the path of both by being the son of Professor Birch but being the protagonist of the original game. deciding not to follow in the footsteps of their father at first, Emerald sets out and takes on the Hoenn gym circuit in order to become stronger, as any ten year old does at the time. the events of Emerald happen and they're able to fight both Aqua and Magma to keep the peace amongst the land and sea with help of the draconian pokémon RAYQUAZA. confident that they're able to take on the league, they do so, but was knocked out time and time again before they could even reach Steven, and instead of being fired up, or bummed out, Emerald became enraged that they weren't "good enough" for such a title and so went a little MIA for a few years. they end up camping and living within the forests of Hoenn, learning to understand and live like the pokémon, soon forgetting why they even bothered with the league in the first place.

finding what their father does interesting, but not wanting to spend their life in a labratory doing research, Emerald takes on the Hoenn gym circuit in order to better themselves and to become the strongest trainer in Hoenn. throughout their time doing this, they come across the nefarious teams of Aqua and Magma, who both seek the help from legendary pokémon to either extend the lands or the sea, causing Hoenn to be endangered. Emerald, who at the time believes this is their destiny, fights throughout every stage of their plan and with the help of Rayquaza is able to put a stop to their plans before anything can transpire.FOREST LIVING | 15
they've "retired" from league battling and instead focuses on keeping the peace within the forests and lands from poachers or teams alike. in a way, they become the forests protector, and within the five years they live amongst pokémon, their attitude towards humans changes... becoming a lot more wild at heart instead of ever becoming a proper trainer again.

Mallory is a trainer originally from Galar who moved away with her aunt, who had just accepted to work in slateport as part of the submarine project, to the Hoenn region when she was three years old. growing up around technology and the means of scientific discovery lead Mallory into a love of geology and research into the geoarchaeological analysis of volcanoes in the region, and decided to pursuit that dream once she was old enough.not the best trainer of all time, but one who loves and adores her partners, she explores the extents of Hoenn in order to discover what the region used to be like from the palaeolithic eras into the late stone age of the neolithic, and how the changes in volcanic activity would've changed the environment over time. had Hoenn always been surrounded by water, and if so, how did that affect the people living here? Had there been an expanse in the sea, or was it the opposite? That's what she wishes to discover.
